Over 7.2 million children in Ethiopia are currently out of school due to conflict and insecurity

Education Minister Berhanu Nega highlighted the severe crisis in the education sector during an education-themed meeting.
Nega emphasized that conflict negatively impacts the development of children's minds and futures.
Arega Kebede, president of the Amhara Region, noted that his region has a significant number of children out of school due to insecurity.
The Amhara Region initially aimed to enroll 7 million students this academic year, but only 2.8 million were enrolled.
Kebede called for collaborative efforts to address the damage to educational facilities in the region.
