Over 1,000 Ethiopians Repatriated from Saudi Arabia - ENA English
- Ethiopia repatriated over 1,000 nationals from Saudi Arabia who were in difficult circumstances.
- The returnees were welcomed by Shiferaw Teklemariam, the Ethiopian Disaster Risk Management Commissioner, and Ambassador Nebiat Getachew, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- This repatriation marks the beginning of the fourth round of such efforts by the Ethiopian government.
- The government plans to increase repatriation efforts by operating nine flights per week.
- The initiative is part of Ethiopia's citizen-centered diplomacy, which also included the repatriation of more than 43 citizens from Myanmar on the same day.
